We've all heard it before: minimal or non-processed foods are better for us. But how does the average family on a tight budget realistically apply this to meal planning? This site is dedicated to helping families provide simple, nutrionally balanced meals without breaking the bank. I have also tried to give special attention to incorporating WIC foods. Feel free to substitute/exchange as it tailors to your family's likes and dislikes as well as what is available at your local grocery store! I welcome others to submit their ideas and recipes; however I will not post any meal or recipe I have not personally tried and served my family. Bon appetite!
I am a stay at home wife and mom of three children (ages 4, 2, and infant). Over the past few years I have developed a passion for serving healthy food to our family.
